Six String Steve

Hi, I’m Steve. I am a solo acoustic cover musician from Southsea. Available for hire, whether it be for pub gigs, cafes, public events, or private functions.

I am a huge fan of classic and hard rock, but have a varied song catalogue ranging from 1980s to modern day, putting my own spin on classic rock, indie and pop songs.

As much as I love bringing the frontman energy to solo performance, I am flexible and versatile, and more than happy to calm things down to suit the environment I am playing in. I also love to interact with an audience, but again, the same applies, and I can provide a chill background vibe to a more relaxed event.

I have performed in a few bars and cafes in and around Portsmouth, as well as local events and festivals. When I am not gigging, I like to get out to some of the local open mic nights, which are great for meeting other musicians or music lovers, and a perfect place to test new material. You may also see me busking when the sun is shining.

What to expect from a booking

I am punctual and organised, always aiming to arrive prior to performing in order to set up. I have my own equipment, including a compact PA and mixing desk. I also have full Public Liability Insurance.

I usually put a set list together ahead of time depending on the event. Please let me know if you’d like any input on the set list otherwise I’ll add songs appropriate to the type of venue and vibe you’d like.

I am always happy to find new and different bars, cafes or public venues to perform in. If you are looking for solo musicians, for regular gigs, one-time events, or opening launches please feel free to contact me.

Festivals

I have performed at Victorious Festival, Gunwharf’s Street Food Festival, and Staggeringly Good Brewery’s annual Beer Fest, Shanty-Town. If you are putting on an event, I will be more than happy to take part.
